Na manhã de 3 de Outubro de 1973, o cargueiro espanhol “Ada Ferrer”, que transportava um carregamento de 400 toneladas de sal para o porto de Villagarcia de Arosa, encalhou ao largo da praia de S. Bartolomeu do Mar – Esposende.
