Descrição

Anémona grande com tentáculos ondulados cinzento-acastanhados ou verde-vivo. A variedade verde apresenta as pontas dos tentáculos púrpura. Os tentáculos raramente se apresentam retraídos na coluna, que é vermelha ou cinzento-acastanhada.

 

Habitat

Presente sobretudo na zona intertidal, especialmente nas poças de maré, podendo estar presente no início do andar sublitoral.

 

Características identificativas

  • Base fortemente aderente mais larga que a coluna.
  • Coluna suave, disco amplo, tentáculos longos bastante resistentes e flexíveis, até cerca de 200.
  • Base com até 7 cm e alcance dos tentáculos até 18 cm.
  • Coluna de cor avermelhada ou acizentada, disco castanho ou acizentado com linhas radiais brancas. Tentáculos cinzento-acastanhados ou verde-vivo com pontas púrpura.
  • Tentáculos raramente retraídos, mas com capacidade de se retraírem  totalmente na coluna.
