  • Apresenta dentes no vómer que se estendem para trás da linha média do palato;
  • Escamas ctenóides sobre o espaço interorbitário;
  • Manchas negras sobre o dorso e flancos nos jovens e nos adultos;
  • Mancha negra muito nítida sobre o opérculo.
